On the fringe of the Weald, Horsham offers a really nice countryside with many interesting gardens to visit. Horsham is a town in West Sussex. In 2015 the town was ranked one of the best places to live in the UK. It is the administrative centre of the Horsham district.With a total population of around 134.000 the district is the second largest Local Authority District in West Sussex.
With major towns like Brighton (19 miles away) and London (31 miles away), Horsham is an important commuter town. The train station is linked to the London-Brighton train line through Three bridges station. It takes around one hour on average to go to London Victoria. Horsham is also 14 miles away from Gatwick, the second-busiest airport by total passenger traffic in the UK.

- Nymans (7 miles away)
Nymans (7 miles away). This is the nearest garden. It’s a typical English garden which became a National Trust property in 1953. It was previously owned by the Messel family. The garden is also really popular in summer for its perennials borders.
- Parham house and garden
Parham house and garden (16 miles away) is between Storrington and Pulborough. The garden has one of the best english walled garden. The herbaceous borders are very impressive and can give you planting combinations ideas to design your beds.
- Sussex prairies garden (12 miles away)
Inspired by the work of famous garden designer Piet Oudolf, the garden is made of large borders of herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses planted in a naturalistic style. It’s open from June to mid October. If you are a garden lover or are looking for some inspiration to redesign your garden it is worth a visit.
